monday morning, bright and early, we headed down to get off the boat in MEXICO!
^^^waiting to get off^^^
Cozumel was beeeeautiful! the second i got off the boat, all of the people were calling me Barbie, which i obviously didn't mind. obviously. apparently, though, they don't know barbie is really tall.
we got to the land and waited for our excursion next to some really real mayan ruins. who know they are so tiny?! ;)
^^^benjamin's face.^^^
we took a car/bus ride to the woods in mexico so we could do some fun stuffs.
^^^some always necessary window shots
when we got to the woods place, i got to hold a parrot, kiss 2 parrots, and hold an alligator. it was pretty sweet. unfortunately they wouldn't let us take pictures to "protect the animals," whatever that means.
we were going to go mudding on these dune buggy car things- it's kind of like an atv, kind of like a go-cart.
^^^look how clean we are!
we just wear bandannas for fun. thug lyffffffe.
the best part of this whole trip, was that i got to drive. now, i am a little...cough...cough....short, so it was pretty hard. i had to sit on the very edge of my seat, and press on the pedal as hard as i possible could, but my bum was wet from mud, and i kept sliding back. it was an experience for sure. and i did get to wear cool biker gloves to drive. which was awesome
^^^benji boy and i. he had the time of his life with me driving
^^^mom and rache^^^
^^^ethan and jare bear^^^
^^^dad and rebs^^^
^^^benj and me^^^
halfway through, we stopped and went inside a cave. the guides told us a little bit about the mayan history, and then we went to another cavern. this cavern was full of water. (sulfer water= stinky). we jump into the cavern of water. it was about a 10-15 ft. jump, so not too bad. once we got in the water, there was hundreds of bats above our heads. it was so cool!
^^^this is benjamin and i driving through the mud. i just love them because of benjamin's girly squeals of delight. told ya i made it the time of his life.
after we were done, i got lots of cat calls from the locals about my "new" shirt
i was pretty happy with how muddy we got. it was pretty successful.
after mudding and trying to clean off, (basically my shirt is now stained brown-ish. it's ok though, it actually looks like it should be brown) we went back to the port and ate some great mexican food in this cute restaurant.
our view from the restaurant. look at that! that's for real! not even altered at all.
^^^i drank so much coke down there. i don't even like coke. but it was sooo good.
later that night i'm pretty sure i ate shark and alligator. i just couldn't do the frog legs. they move.
