I AM STILL ALIVE

dear everyone,

every day is so busy. we have three investigators that we are teaching on a regular basis, kayla, erika, and sydney. one of them is our teacher pretending to be someone, and two of them are in the trc so we don't know if they are actual members or not. i'm pretty sure erika isn't but it doesn't matter either way because it is so frustrating when you have an investigator that has been listening to discussions for two years and feels like she has never felt the spirit at all and God has never answered her prayers. we meet with her every day, so it is just so exhausting to talk to her because we really like her and she's not getting anything.

other than teaching investigators, we have class and service that we do but it is just a lot of sitting and some exercise that's only like 20 min by the time you change so my bum is so sore ha.

we are so blessed to have such amazing teachers. they are so incredible, i don't even know how, but they make the 6 hours that we have class so interesting. i wish i was this interested in school haha.

but even though there is all these great things, the mtc is so hard. but every single time that i have found myself thinking i can't do this, i hear exactly what i need to hear whether it be from a devotional or the teacher, it is incredible the things that heavenly father has done for me.

my zone is the best!!!!!!! i am so sad to leave the mtc on tuesday because i am going to miss them sooo much!!! we sit next to each other every meal and we are just all good buddies. it's weird to think that we all pretty much live in different countries. my zone is my class and the class next door. the first picture is of my district, from left to right is elder groenveld, sister boza, elder lim on the bottom and sister dinge, me, and sister han on the top.

sister han left our class on wednesday to go to the korean class, so sis dinge, sister boza and i are now a trio. it was weird at first to figure out how to teach together, but i really love sister boza. she is such a great teacher and from guatemala and after we get home from our missions, we decided i am going to go visit her and talked all about it.

the second picture has a couple of sisters from the other class.

as sister training leaders, sister dinge and i had to pick up all of the international missionaries because they arrive throughout the day monday-wednesday. we have a cell phone, the front desk calls us, and we have to stop whatever we are doing to go pick them up and then bring all the new missionaries with us everywhere we go. by wednesday morning we had 10 new missionaries following us around and half of them didn't speak any english. we were exhausted! wednesday we had to teach all three of our investigators and take these new missionaries to their classes and we lost some sisters in our branch for a little while and we had to go help find them. we had maybe 30 minutes of prep for all of our lessons that day. Heavenly Father blesses you when you do what you're supposed to do! all of the lessons went great.

thursday we had a looooong day of in-field training where we learn and practice teaching in the field and this morning we got to go to temple square! international missionaries are invited to go to salt lake and since i have international companions, i got to go with them.

i can't believe i leave the mtc on tuesday! we have to be ready to go at 3:30 am which is poopy but i'll be in canada!

love you all thanks for the emails/letters and thank you grandma and mom for the packages!

love,
sister paine
