HOW COME WE CAN'T EVER HAVE JUST LIKE A SALAD?

where are the chips? where are the spices? don't you know i have had diarrheas since easters?

hahahahahahah i'm sorry i just couldn't resist.

happy late easters everyone!

our p-day got changed to tuesday so we could preach some more word on monday with all the easters festivities still going on. easter monday is a big thing around here, is it a big thing in the states? i don't know, i've forgotten so many things. whatever!

sunday we had so many miracles. we were a bit worried that we wouldn't have very many people to visit due to the holiday, but we were able to see so many people and get in contact with some of our formers that we dropped simply because we couldn't get a hold of them in over a month!

i had an opportunity to go to the Montreal Temple on Friday. as missionaries we are only allowed to go to the temple once a transfer, but it is very difficult for missionaries in quebec city to go because it's a 3 hour drive and we aren't allowed to drive the mission cars down. bus tickets cost $100 for the round-trip fare. we were so blessed because a couple in our ward invited us to drive down with them on friday morning! we didn't have to worry about buying tickets or wasting klicks. i was especially grateful to go to the temple on that friday, to remember my Savior on the day that He atoned for all of ours and my sins, felt all of my sadness, and knew all of my weaknesses. i am so grateful for Him. in a very literal representation of this easter weekend, friday was (hopefully) our last snow storm. it was grey and icy and cold. by sunday morning it was 10 degrees and sunny! how beautiful was that easter morning when we got to celebrate the empty tomb because our Redeemer lives!

i'm so excited about conference this weekend! we had a relief society dinner on saturday night and then watched the women's general conference session together. i loved the messages about being women who follow Christ. this past week we met with a lady who asked us if we felt as women in the church we don't have as many rights as men. i was able to tell her absolutely no! and the talks from the women's conference reiterated that. as women in the church we have a vital responsibility that literally no one else can do. we need to be strong. we need to valiantly stand up for what we believe, for women truly are called to the "errand of angels." i was really grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony of that to her.

we were hoping to have some investigators come to the women's conference, but last minute they cancelled :(. BUT we did have a less active come who hadn't been to church since i got to quebec! it was truly a miracle! i love her so much, and we had a breakthrough lesson with her this past wednesday, she came to the women's conference, AND she came to church on sunday! what a miracle and a blessing for us! we also had several other less actives come to church on sunday

our week was pretty good, not many people wanted to visit with us because of the easter holiday, but after reflecting on the week, we realized we were able to have lots of little miracles and teach lots of people who truly need the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

hope everyone has a great week! watch general conference!

love,

soeur paine
