TEMPLE AND EXCHANGES

hello everyone!

it has been a great week!

this week started out great because on tuesday we were able to go to the temple! it has been almost a year since i have been able to go since it has always been so far away. i missed it! sister garcia and i went with the scotts. it was so great! i always feel great after i have been to the temple. it truly is a sacred place where we can get guidance and peace from our Heavenly Father.

on wednesday i went on exchanges with sister beasley! she is just 3 weeks in to her mission and we had a fun time. of course, all of our lessons cancelled on us, but that meant we got lots of time to go contacting. you always meet interesting people at the door... aka a a man in just a towel.... wednesday night was so fun because we got to help out the activity day girls with their activity. they are so fun and have so much energy! they had a treasure hunt to find the attributes of their faith in God... at least i think that is what it is called for them! haha anyways it was great!

friday to saturday i also went on exchanges with sister saintus. it was great. we were on the bus and it is always fun to bus contact, you will meet people from everywhere! one little miracle we had was that sister saintus wanted ice cream so badly, but we weren`t going to have enough time to stop and get some. we went to a dinner appointment, and what did they serve? ice cream. sister saintus was so happy.

one miracle that we had this week was that we were able to see julie again! it had been a while since we had heard from her, and we were getting worried. she was finally home and we were able to get back in contact with her and she is doing great!

we also had another lesson with hydrisse. it was awesome! we taught the plan of salvation with him and this time when we went over things were so different! his house was clean and he was so much happier. he had been reading his book of mormon! it is so cool to see the gospel help him!

this week i have been thinking a lot about the attributes of Christ. in preach my gospel, we have a chapter devoted to the Christlike Attributes and how we can be more like Him. there is a talk that we can watch at the MTC called "the Character of Christ" by elder bednar. there is a quote from the talk that i love, "there would have been no Atonement except for the Character of Christ." 

Christ was able to perform His infinite Atonement because He was perfect and humble and meek and did the will of His Father. i`ve been thinking a lot about how i need to study more the attributes of Christ not only to learn of Him, but to be more like Him.

today we went to parlaiment

everyday i go ice skating here in canada... this is what every driveway and parking lot looks like!
