HAPPY CHRISTMAS

you know, i used to hate it when people said "happy christmas," but now i love it. mainly because harry potter, but that's okay. happy christmas from our dysfunctional nativity (it's the thought that counts, right?)!

st. george// part 2

thursday after we went shooting, we went cliff jumping. again, it was so HOT and i didn't have courage to go off the very high cliff, the smaller ones are good enough for me.

after cliff jumping and dinner, some of us drove to tuacahn. it's a center for the arts, but i think it's also a high school? anyway, you drive up and are right next to these huge rocks. they're so big that you feel like you are inside this little rock box. it was amazing. we saw the little mermaid, and besides the fact that we were sitting in like 100 degree weather, it was fantastic. the singing was great, they made it look like they were swimming under water, and if you looked up, you could see the stars so vividly. it was like you were right next to them. they also had fireworks, so that was great. 

the fourth was a more low-key day. around dinner time, it got really, really windy. later we went and watched fireworks, and the dixie mountain caught on fire for a couple of minutes, so that was exciting. we then played with sparklers and made s'mores in the oven. 

saturday we drove back to provo, but stopped at the st. george temple really fast. it's a beauty. 

that evening when we got back to provo, benj opened his mission call! that was super exciting! i then went over to my cousin's to see her brand new baby (she's the cutest in the world) and to my aunt's to see caitie before she headed back to washington.

st. george// part 1

fourth of july week my family headed down to st. george. benj, ethan, and i drove down wednesday night. it was a bit of an adventure because our car almost broke down and it was so hot. however, the view on the ride up was stunning. 

we got there late wednesday night, and woke up really early on thursday morning to go shooting. we had to wake up early because it would be too hot later to be outside. i got to shoot a gun for the first time ever, and it was pretty cool i guess. here's bunch of pictures from our shooting that morning. afterwards we went home and i took a nap. after that we went cliff jumping and to a play, so i'll share those in the next post cause there are a looooot of pictures.
