labor day. it started out with swiss days on saturday, and anyone that knows me, knows i need to not bring any money to these kinds of things. i mean, craft fair/food/cute trinkets for days! it was a dream. but it was really hot; i thought we were going to die. and we were tired, caitie and i always share a bed whenever i sleep at her apartment (almost every friday), and even though we are little, twin beds just aren't cutting it anymore.
after swiss days, we hurried over to the movie theater and saw austenland. it's about a girl who is obsessed with jane austin books, so she goes to this retreat in england that is basically a jane austin movie. it was hil-freaking-larious. we're talking some inappropriate jokes and cute british boys, i mean, what's not to love? also, there's a point in the movie where everyone sits at the piano and sings classical songs, and the main character in the movie is pressured into playing the piano. she's like, "ok, but i only know one song" and starts playing hot in here by nelly. i died.
sunday i went to my new ward, and we are talking boys. boys. boys. boys. there is literally 4 boys for every girl. i almost had a panic attack, and confirmed my plans of being a cat lady. but we'll discuss this later.
sunday night, we headed up to my grandparents' house in oakley. it's about an hour and a half away. my aunt and uncle, all of my cousins, and our friend cami went. i love it up there. it's one of my favorite places. time just moves slower, it's a little bit colder, and all the beds are a little bit comfier (so we can watch movies, read, eat my grandma's candy and soda stash, and 4-wheel to our hearts' content). unfortunately, we couldn't feed the horses, but we're going back up in two weeks.
i just wish i could stay there forever. it's one of my favorite places ever.
