HAPPY CANADA DAY

dear my friends,

this week started out kind of poopy because everyone loves to cancel on us right when we get to their door! yay!

but we cry a little and get over it. just kidding we actually laugh because it takes less time. ain't nobody got time for that!

BUT ANYWHO

we had another incredible lesson with our investigator Dianne who accepted a baptism date last week. we brought a member of our ward who lives in the same building as us and she ended up being the perfect person to bring! dianne and sister laimite hit it off immediately! and sister laimite, who is a convert of the church, had an amazing testimony that she shared with Dianne. we taught her the second half of the restoration, so basically about joseph smith. we have a little video about the restoration that we can share during that lesson, but most of the time we don't like to share it. we felt inspired to share that video as well and it was as perfect as a lesson could be! the spirit was so strong, and at the end of the lesson Dianne said the most beautiful prayer! she was so nervous to say one, but she was so great! she truly is a miracle. she is from jamaica and actually referred herself through the mormon.org website. i am so grateful heavenly father let me meet her!

this friday is canada day and we will have a canada day breakfast at church. and it's amazing because everyone loves free food which means all of our investigators and less actives will go!!! holla!

sorry my email is kind of boring this week.

oh i remembered something else, we have a less active that we visit who doesn't like coming to church but likes us to visit and she came to church this sunday for the second time in a row! that truly is a miracle, espcially if you know her! ha

this past week we had ward council and i was talking with the primary president. she was was asking me what would be good things to send in a care package to a girl in our ward who is serving her mission in california. she then started joking with me saying that she needed to be sure to send lots of canada things because the states need to celebrate canada day! and then i joked back saying that, well maybe canada needs to celebrate the fourth of july! (all in good humour of course) (oh shoot i think i just spelled humour like a canadian i can't even tell anymore). but yesterday she came to church and handed me a bag full of american things! she went down to the border this week and stocked up for me. it was so nice and i was so so so happy! i have american plates, napkins, pins, straws, everything i need to celebrate the 4th of july like a proper american in canada!

this week we will be getting our new president. i'm excited to keep moving forward in the work, preaching some word and working as hard as i can to fulfill this sacred calling Heavenly Father has given me.

i hope you have a good week! thank you for all of your emails and support. i love you all!

love,

sister paine
