how y'all doin???
this week has been a whirlwind of changes but GREAT changes!!! wednesday was transfers and i got a new companion, sister dampt (pronounced d- ahhhhhh (like when you stick your tongue out at the doctor's and they say, say "ah") mpt). and then the elders who were in our ward left to different areas, meaning that sister dampt and i took over our whole ward!
because of these changes, sister dampt and i decided to make some goals for the area and then get right to work to determine if the people we were visiting were really serious about the gospel, and how we could help them better. we were able to have some amazing lessons, truly understand our investigators and less actives better, and meet the elders' investigators/less actives we will now be teaching. we also went to work at finding new people like crazy, so we have lots of lessons planned for this coming week and we are really excited!!!
sister dampt is from arizona, but her dad is from france so she was born there and lived there until she was 6 i think. she has been on her mission for 4 months, and came to fallowfield after being trained in montreal. she is fabulous! she is so funny and we love all of the same movies and tv shows and we are practically the same person it's scary so we laugh and laugh in between our appointments and during the days and it makes everything fun! especially when it's so hot and you feel like you're going to die.
i'm so excited to stay in fallowfield for another 6 weeks. i love this area and people so much. Heavenly Father has really blessed us here. I'm learning to rely on Him 100% because let's be honest i still have no idea what i'm doing, so we pray and study and then get to work. i know the Lord doesn't give us any callings or challenges unless He knows we can accomplish them, the key is that we need to remember that it is through His help and the help of our Savior Jesus Christ that we accomplish those things.
i love you all! have a wonderful week!
love,
sister paine
