team beyonce

for the weekend in review, i went to a basketball game, which was pretty fun but only because of the two guys sitting in front of us. i probably watched them more than i watched the game. can you say people eating dry pasta? yeah....

and then I had a total wipeout. total wipeout. thank goodness it was dark and the only people who saw me were kyle and devin, and that was after i had fallen and was just lying on the ground.

and then on Sunday, there was the Superbowl. and to avoid anything awkward, we won't talk about who won or lost, but we had a lot of fun.

amanda, whitney, and i came home from church, and we were locked out of our apartment! we all knew the right code, tried the universal code, and our old code, but there just kept being a buzzing sound, and we couldn't get it. after calling 3 ra's we finally got in and ran over to whitney's house to watch the superbowl.

*fun fact: lara called me before church and told me that our old seminary teacher who has a sign company and covers cars, etc. was brought a piano and asked to wrap it in silver (basically that means, he just made a black piano silver by putting a big silver sticker over the whole thing), and he was told when he was done that it was the piano alicia keys would use in the superbowl! and then i watched the superbowl, and alicia keys used a silver piano. pretty cool, i know.

now, let's talk about the best part of the superbowl. let's be honest. we all know it was beyonce. she was so great, she even caused a power outage. i LOVE beyonce. she is just a magical spiritual goddess. i mean, is there any doubt in anyone's mind that she is not perfect? besides taylor swift, she is definitely my top girl crush. basically she should be president. i decided this freshman year when i was studying for american heritage, and i realized the world would be a much better place if beyonce was president, i was vice president, and taylor swift was secretary of state. i mean, disco balls for stop lights, every day a party, and i'm pretty sure everyone would get their own pony, but that's a story for a different day. i mean, who runs the world? girls.

basically, she was fabulous and the best dancer ever, even though the singing wasn't that great last night, but hey, we all have off days. and i'm pretty sure when she sang halo, it was the best. moment. ever.

oh and read this to find out why Beyonce's superbowl performance was just plain fierce. "The 33 Fiercest Moments from Beyonce's Halftime Show"

and then, this was definitely the best commercial of the whole superbowl. i might be biased though because i love grandmas and grandpas.
