it's finally spring! and i think it will last for at least three whole days!
i hope everyone had a great week! this week was good and poopy. we couldn't get anyone to make an appointment with us! and one of our investigators ignored/avoided us every single day this week! we set up appointments with her, we would show up and then she would blatantly ignore us so... awkward...
speaking of awkward, this week we had zone conference and sister clark and i had to do a training on a topic from preach my gospel. we spent so much time preparing it and practicing, it was really good. then we get to zone conference and the stl's told us that we are actually going to watch a video before our training and we had based most of our training off of that video! ahh! so we had to change literally our entire training during lunch. so lesson learned... be prepared, and then be prepared! haha luckily it went fine.
also at zone conference on wednesday we were going to have a car inspection. and we didn't learn until tuesday morning! we had no idea and a very full day ahead of us. but with a tender mercy from Heavenly Father, we had a lunch appointment with a lady in our ward and we told her what was going on when we walked in with looks of panic on our faces because not only did we have to find a way to clean our car inside and out, but we had had an apartment cleaning check that morning by the senior missionary couple and they had accidentally taken our phone since theirs looked exactly the same! she immediately put us to work and helped us clean our car in record time, we used her phone to call the senior couple to get our phone back, and we had a delicious lunch! and what's even funnier is the next day we won an award for having the cleanest car!
this we had a really great lesson with a less active who is coming back to church. she is working towards the temple! she has been coming to church and all of the activities, and even asked us for homework so she has been reading the book of mormon every single day! i'm so proud of her and happy for her. i love seeing her!
we had another lesson with the countess lucie this week. she has nothing to do but sit around all day because she is 87 years old, so when she gets catalogs in the mail, she really looks at them. we walk in and she's like, "i want your opinion on something." she then whips out her sears catalog and goes to a sundress and asks, "is this too young for me?!" it was a maxi dress from the junior's section. hahaha but lucie is fabulous, so we told her she can wear anything that she would like. lucie is really progressing well. she receives such amazing and clear answers to her prayers, and she told us yesterday that she really, really wants the church to be true and she's pretty sure it is! the only problem we are having with lucie is that she can't remember what we asked her to pray about because she's old.
transfers are next week and i hope i'm staying, there's so much work to be done here in quebec!
oh and i almost forgot, i saw justin bieber driving in his car! i've made up my mind it was him because if it wasn't he has an identical twin somewhere and he is from canada, eh.
