i hope you all had wonderful weeks!
i'm getting transferred.
bummmerrrrr
i'm so heartbroken to leave my people here in quebec. my lucie and jacqueline and all my other friends who have touched my life so much. but i'm so grateful for the opportunity that i had to be in this kooky place. the people here are like no other and to be completely honest quebec is super weird, but i know that i was put here for a reason. i wasn't expecting to leave so soon, so it was a huge shock and they say the first transfer is the hardest. but i'm so eternally grateful for the people that i met here. i know without a doubt that some of the people i met here were just for me. i needed to meet them, and honestly i probably got more out of meeting them than them meeting me, but i'm so grateful to my heavenly father.
BUT
i am very excited to go to OTTAWA! i did want to serve there at some point in my mission, and i guess my time is now! i'm serving in a place called Fallowfield, which is apparently the middle of nowhere. it's an english ward, so i will be speaking english and won't be in the province of quebec at all which is kinda weird to think about. i'm very lucky because i've only been on my mission for 3 months and i already am serving in 2 of the 3 major cities in the mission! i know that Heavenly Father has prepared this place for me. i only hope i can do my best and do the work He would have me do there.
i have two great stories this week about my countess lucie.
the first time we visited her this week she had something to say! we sit down and she says she's fed up! and we ask her why and she said, "my bra is too big! all of my bras are too big!" she then lifted up her shirt and was like, "don't worry, you won't see anything" and said, "look! it's huge! they're swimming! they're not even grapefruits!" she then asked if we would go bra shopping for her and that she would give us one of her bras so we know what kind she likes.
the second time we visited her i walked in and said, "i have some bad news" and she got exasperated and was like, "you're leaving. where are they sending you?" (remember she's had missionaries teach her on and off for 40 years, she knows how this works) i then asked her if i could take a picture with her and sat down next to her. after the picture she grabs my arm and said, "poop!" but she didn't say poop. i just edited it for us because let's just say she said a very naughty word. haha she then said, "i'll hide you in my house! then you don't have to leave!" i'm going to miss lucie. she is soooo close to being baptized. she's gone from a complete atheist to telling us that she knows that heavenly father is helping her out and she knows she's going to be baptized one day. just do it lucie! she's going to be someone that i miss a lot, but she told me to come back and that she will never forget my face. but she is 87, so i don't know how true that really is. haha
today we had a district activity because the other sisters in our zone are going home. we went mini golf, and that was fun! i was so blessed to have a great district!
i'm so eternally grateful for this chance to serve my mission, and i'm especially grateful to have had the chance to serve in quebec as my first area. hey i'm not a greenie anymore! yeah! i pray that all of my things will fit in my suitcases.
love you all!
