I HAVE AN 8 COW COMPANION

dear everyone,

hello from canada that is basically the us

it's really weird being here because everyone speaks english and my head is still in french.

this week was SO BUSY.

monday and tuesday were spent saying goodbye to all of the people that i love in quebec. apparently when you're leaving everyone wants to feed you. monday i had chocolats favoris TWO times. that's the chocolate covered ice cream cones i wrote about a while back. then on tuesday we had a lunch appointment, she then took us to get gelato, jacqueline bought me a pie and we had a dinner appointment. i thought i was going to explode, but everyone wanted to feed me because i was leaving, i just couldn't say no! haha

wednesday was the longggg travel day to ottawa. there were 5 of us from my district going down on a bus to montreal, so sister clark and i spent the night with our sister training leaders who were both going home the next day. we had a fun night, but we were all so tired. after we took the bus to montreal, i had to take a bus to ottawa. i was with 4 other elders also going to ottawa, and one elder who was in my district in quebec was coming to serve in the same ward as me. i was glad not to be by myself aka i wanted help carrying all my bags.

the last couple days i have been getting to know the people and our investigators. everyone has been really nice and it's so much easier in english! haha

my companion's name is sister dexter and she is from french polynesia! she is a francophone, so i can speak french with her so i don't lose it. she is very nice and has the prettiest hair. her family owns a pearl farm in tahiti which is super cool! she only has 3 months left on her mission, so next transfer will be her last.

fallowfield is green and has a ton of farms, which is really nice that i am here now because apparently canada has a million corn farms, so everyone does corn roasts at the end of summer and it's a huge deal. pretty cool. there is a ton of farms and little patches of houses. it's nice and green and warmer here than in quebec.

and canadians really do say "eh" after every other word!

i'm very grateful to be here in fallowfield. it's taking a little bit of getting used to, but i know this is where Heavenly Father wants me to be. as i was meeting the investigators and people in the ward here in fallowfield, i got such an impression that Heavenly Father loves these people, but that it's easy to forget how much He loves us. we need to remember Jesus Christ as our anchor and our rock and that Heavenly Father never forgets His people and His love is unconditional and perfect.

I love you all!

love,

sister paine
