throwback thursday

ok so let's get this out of the way- it's not thursday. 

thursday sounds better than monday

now that we have that over with...

whitney and i were talking, and we realized that lately we have been only listening to songs from high school and middle school. it's the best isn't it? and we were wearing our stretchy pants, handmade tshirts, and oversized sweaters while we were listening to our old tunes. basically we're hipsters. 

and then we might have even listened to a little bit that was a WAY long time ago, before we listened to good music. but even then, does it really get better than jesse mccartney and hilary duff?

the way it was

you know those songs that you listen to and no matter how much you try and control your body, when you hear the music crescendo and you hear, "it I go on, with you by my side..." your hands just shoot up and and start waving up in the air like you just don't care, and you scream at the top of your lungs. it's a real thing, i tell ya, just ask my roommates. and here's the song:

 Today, there is kind of a silly story of what I am wearing. I'm wearing Kyle's Matt's sweater. My roommate, Kyle (who is a girl) has a best friend named Matt (who is on his mission and I have never met), and she has his sweater in her closet. So I'm wearing it. Silly, huh? It was kind of just one of those days. It's the first really cold day today, and I just want to go back to bed!!!! Unfortunately I have to take a test on the Greeks and Romans and literature and art and all that dumb stuff. Just remember that Homer wrote the Iliad, and you'll be fine.

on the bright side, I looked down and saw that the seam in my pants perfectly lines up with the seam in my boots, and I really like that.

I had to take pictures of myself really fast because I am kind of "studying" in the middle of the JKB before I have french at 10...

I'm just a really hard worker, I know. 

but school is almost over, and I get to go home and make orange rolls, and tomorrow we get to put all of our mattresses in the living room and watch conference/sleep all day! yes!

I found him probably 4 years ago. He's an unsigned artist who lives in Nashville, and he has 2 CD's and a couple of EP's. He is incredible and I realized the other day that I have never showed him to you guys! I couldn't believe it! He makes the most perfect rhymes and cliches that will make your heart hurt a little bit. The most amazing part about him is how incredible he sounds live.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

I have a slight Taylor Swift obsession. I mean, come on. I feel like we would be soul sisters if we were really friends. Have you seen how much she loves kittens? That right there just proves it.

Anyways, I just finished watching her- well not live now- but live chat where she announced her new album RED coming out on October 22 (which I will definitely be pre-ordering).

and I just found out the best news about it. She wrote a song with Ed Sheeran. I LOVE Ed Sheeran. Not as much as I love Taylor, but it's pretty close. And not only did she write a song with Ed, but THEY RECORDED IT AS A DUET! I'm pretty much counting down the days until Oct. 22 right now.

and this is her new single from her album that came out today. girls, next music video. I'm not even joking. I just call dibs on the part where she's talking and is like, "so he calls me up and he's like 'I still love you' and I'm like this is exhausting. We are never ever getting back together. like ever." Cause it's funny.
